ROSE BIKES ARE NOW ELECTRIFIED, TOO
ROSE has been a famous name for high-quality sportive bikes for decades. For years, our technicians have observed the development of e-bikes eagerly. They have tested diverse developments on a regular basis. Only a few years ago, the transition was made from simple and unsophisticated electric bikes to systems, which meet our high demands on riding performance and diverse fields of use.

Driven by their enthusiasm for this new technology, our technicians and testers have developed electric bikes in cooperation with renowned electric motor manufacturers. These electric bikes are still bicycles, yet with high technical demands and designed to suit different target groups. Bikes, which support the individual performance of the rider with an electric motor. No matter whether you would like to use it for shopping or leisure tours, or whether you have sportive demands on fitness and range. Our tests in different target groups have proved it – these bikes definitely have a future.
Rose sport and touring bikes with BionX hub motor
Our bikes of the series Multisport-E2 Trekking and Black Creek-E4 Trekking combine state-of-the-art frame construction with a sportive geometry, highest stability and a low weight. They are equipped with the PL 250 HT (High Torque) drive. This motor is made in Canada and provides a sportively dynamic support in all riding situations with its 35 Nm maximum torque, its 250 watt motor and a 36.9 volt luggage carrier battery in combination with a great sensor technology. It is not for nothing that it has become the test winner in many international e-bike magazines. The 36.9 volt battery with 9.6 Ah produces 354 watt hours – guaranteeing a range of up to 100 km. The complete system weighs 7.7 kg.
For our series Multisport E400, NPL- E3 Trekking and Activa Pro-E1, we use a light variant of the BionX system. This super light motor produces 250 watts, too, but is 30% lighter. A high-performance battery creates in this system amazing 48 volts with 8.8 Ah and belongs to the most powerful pedelecs on the market with over 420 watt hours, guaranteeing ranges of up to more than 100 km without battery change. The complete system weighs only 6.7 kg. Sportive long-distance riders will love these bikes. Their strong BionX SL motor has a maximum torque of 40 Nm. A rocket that flattens every ascent.
When braking on downhill sections, the BionX system switches to the generator function (so-called recuperation). That's what makes these pedelecs achieve ranges others can only dream of.
There are four levels of motor assistance selectable (35, 75, 150 or 300%).
Our Rose city comfort class with front motor
Our comfort class of the series Black Water-E1 Trekking is equipped with a powerful direct current motor, which is not much bigger than a hub dynamo and weighs only 2.4 kg. A small but strong power pack – 250 watts, 36 volts and an almost noiseless planet gearbox.
This perfectly balanced system with starting aid, switch-off automatic in the brake levers, a 36 volt battery with 324 watt hours and 6 levels, which can be selected for motor assistance, guarantees a wholly new riding experience. It offers optimal ranges (up to 80 km), depending on the level of assistance and the weight of the rider.
Powerful rim brakes ensure safe stopping even on fast rides. In addition, the motor is immediately switched off while braking, a very important safety aspect.
The most important feature of this hybrid is however, that it is completely cast from the same mould. No piecemeal drivetrains, but one complete drive system.
The pedelec category with front motor is so popular among our customers, because normal cycling is easily possible on them, too. You can simply leave the battery at home, if you just want to ride a short distance.
