Description

The XEON CDX Force is our disc racer that is specced with American parts. It comes with a top group by the US company SRAM: The Force 22 offers top-level technology while being extremely powerful and treating its owner with direct, crisp shifting processes and a low weight. The disc brake is equipped with 160 mm rotors and offers best ergonomics as well as great deceleration. It features the Dual-Pivot technology and thanks to its special brake pads, it brings very high braking power onto the road. The high-quality wheelset P1750 Spline Disc Brake by the Swiss high-quality manufacturer DT Swiss comes with thru axles at the front and is designed for use with disc brakes. In addition, it impresses with a Straight Pull lacing which significantly increases the wheels’ stability. That’s how test winners look like – and that’s why the bike was perfectly rated (1,6) in the 05/2015 issue of the TOUR magazine! The test report says: "[…] The bike's components that can be chosen from Rose's modular system are not the only reason why this bike clearly leaves its competitors behind. The frame set, too, scores top marks in most disciplines. This bike is extremely lightweight for a disc racer."

Best bike & most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. I'd never ridden SRAM Force before and think it's much better than Ultegra. Carbon cranks look cool and don't flex. SRAM is clunky but it never misses a gear and because the brake levers only do braking they don't scare you by moving sideways when you are fighting the bike on a downhill in a crosswind. I gave it a baptism of fire and rode 800km & 9000m of climbing in 5 days round the North Coast 500 route in Scotland. I weigh 110kg, snapped 3 chains last year and split one carbon MTB frame so need something that's tough and light. Also I would never have been able to stop on the 20% descents without the disks (we hit 80kmph through the hairpins). Well worth the extra 400g weight over the rim brakes to get home safely. The 15mm through axles mean you get no wheel flex on the climbs and therefore no disk rub. I was wary of the 25mm tyres on the rough roads (it looks to have enough clearance for 28mm) but it was fine. There are no cheap components and nothing to change, not even the stock Selle seat. The only rider rolling faster than me had ceramic Dura Ace hubs so no complaints about DT Swiss R23s. After 100km the bottom bracket started creaking which was annoying. I thought the push fit cups needed removing and regreasing which requires a specific tool but it turned out to be not enough grease on the crank through axle - 2 minute fix but frustrating on a handbuilt bike. Looks amazing in matt black and blue. Make sure you buy a torque wrench and don't overtighten the seat clamp etc (I run an extra clamp directly on the carbon seat tube to stop it slipping which it does on all my bikes despite fibre grip).

Prima valutazione dopo sei uscite:

Was ein Rad! Komfortabel, schnell, agil, dennoch ruhig. Bestes Rennrad, was ich jeh gefahren bin. Mit Comp, Pedalen (SH R-550) 2 Flaschenhaltern und dem dicken HR 8,25 KG. Federungskomfort schon bei 25mm's mit 8 bar bemerkenswert. Danke für dieses Bilke zu dem Preis. Unvergleichlich, und ich bekomme kein ROSE-Sponsoring, leider :-) Beratung top, Service anfänglich etwas zäh, dann sehr hilfsbereit. Preil/Leistung sucht seines gleichen. Optik/Habtik bemrkenswert +.
