In theory a really good idea but in practice not reliable.
I'm already on my second gearbox. After 500km the first unit leaked all the expensive Shimano oil over my wheels and tyres. At 1'000km strange clicking and crunching noises appeared. After 3'000km and refilling the oil 4 times due to leaking seals, gears 1, 3, 4, 8 and 9 gave up completely, leaving me with only 6 gears for the last 800km of a cycle tour.
Rose replaced the first unit, but after only 300km it has already leaked most of the oil and needed refilling again. Now after only 500km it has started making the same noises as the first unit before this broke.

Super Schaltung! Klasse Optik und funktioniert einwandfrei. Mein altes Rennrad bekommt dadurch ein bisschen Singlespeed Optik

Excellent service to the UK. Only problems that I have had with the 11 speed hub is a constant minor oil leak on th edrive side (which is very common) and some problems with 2nd gear on steep climbs which is getting better with use and oil changes. Apart frrom that it has been faultless.
