Cyclocross or gravel bikes are virtually predestined for singlespeed drivetrains. And the RED®1 12-speed crankset by SRAM is just the right tool for you. As an important component of SRAM’s X-Range™ technology, it helps shift the gear range from the front to the rear. This makes for a lightweight, strong and intuitive drivetrain that provides the perfect gear ratio for fast-paced cross-country rides or cycle races and tours in flat terrain, depending on the chainring size. Because in flat terrain, wider gear ratios rather add unnecessary weight.
Specifically developed for electronic shifting, SRAM’s RED®1 crankset impresses not only with elegant Exogram™ carbon crank arms, but also with the possibility to upgrade it with a powerful power meter whenever you want.

DUB™

The relationship between 28.99 mm diameter spindle and bottom bracket is the core of the DUB™ technology. This is where stiffness meets durability. Thanks to the system approach of integrating the relationship between chainring, crank, spindle and bottom bracket, SRAM has managed to make everything easier and better. It’s particularly the bottom brackets that benefit from increased durability thanks to an improved protection against dirt, resulting in enhanced drivetrain performance.

X-SYNC™

SRAM X-SYNC™ 1x chainrings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile and rounded chamfered edges help guide the chain. In addition, X-SYNC™ chainrings feature mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers to provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions.
