BOCHOLT, GERMANY / UK – With the new Backroad, Rose Bikes is consistently developing its most successful gravel bike further. The combination of innovation, functionality and versatility lifts the bike into a new generation that will have a lasting impact on the brand's adventure segment. The centrepiece of the new development is an integrated storage space in the down tube. There is space for the tool bag as standard – well protected and accessible at all times. In the storage space a power bank can be mounted that can be used to charge electronic devices via the USB-C port on the handlebar. This simplifies power supply and organisation on long tours.
More adventure, more possibilities – the Backroad offers up to 53 millimetres of tyre clearance, 18 attachment points on the frame as well as custom-fit frame and top tube bags fixed with the Fidlock system. The frame bag is included with all carbon models. Rose thus opens up flexible options – from a minimalist setup to a fully equipped bikepacking tour.

“Every feature and every detail of the new Backroad has been carefully thought through, extensively tested and precisely harmonised – with the aim of creating a bike that enables completely new adventures on two wheels,” says Jonas Fischer, Brand Manager Adventure.
With the "Unsupported" version, Rose presents a model that enables maximum independence. Hub dynamo (SON 29 S), integrated buffer battery (Busch & Müller power bank with rectifier), Power-Switch (Supernova) and lighting system (Supernova M99 headlight and TL3 mini rear light) make the bike independent of external power sources – a decisive advantage on long adventures and night-time rides. In addition, all other models can be easily upgraded to the Unsupported version at a later date: The necessary cables are already pre-routed in each version.

The carbon models start at a weight of 9.1 kilograms and are available with mechanical or electronic groupsets from Shimano and SRAM. The aluminium models have the same storage space in the down tube and the integrated USB-C port. In addition, all cables are pre-routed on the Backroad AL so that a standard power bank, dynamo and light can be retrofitted. They are available with mechanical singlespeed or doublespeed gears from Shimano and SRAM. The Backroad AL EQ is aimed in particular at everyday and touring cyclists and comes with mudguards, lights and a hub dynamo wheelset as standard.
The Backroad has been the spearhead of the brand's adventure segment for years – and the new generation makes it an even more versatile companion for adventures on and off the road.
Please note that the exact specifications of the Backroad FF models, including the available groupsets and colors, may vary by country.
